Following a brief review of the reasons, benefits, and legal requirements for barrier free showers it summarizes the features and attributes of shower assemblies, relevant industry standards, waterproofing membranes and drains, best practices, installation methodology, installation tips and techniques, and walk/roll in showers. It includes a review of the design considerations and advice for the creation of perfectly performing showers which follow the latest design trends. 60 minutes.

Mitch Hawkins is the Senior Manager, Technical Services in Bethany, CT. He is responsible for gathering 'green" information for LATICRETE products and providing that information to customers by direct contact or through online methods through https://laticrete.com. He has developed over 175 HPDs, 3 EPDs, and has worked with UL to attain more than 60 UL GreenGuard Gold certificates for LATICRETE products, as well as to design, develop, and maintain the LATICRETE LEED Project Certification Assistant.
