ASTM D4830-98
Historical Standard: ASTM D4830-98 Standard Test Methods for Characterizing Thermoplastic Fabrics Used in Roofing and Waterproofing
SUPERSEDED (see Active link, below)
ASTM D4830
1. Scope
1.1 These test methods cover the procedures for characterizing thermoplastic fabrics (for example polyester, polyamide, polypropylene, etc.) used in prefabricated roofing and waterproofing membranes.
1.2 Procedures appear in the following order:
Section Unit Mass 3 Breaking Load, Elongation and Work-to-Break 4 Trapezoid Tearing Strength 5 Simulated Asphalt Retention 6 Puncture Strength 7 Static Heat Stability 8 Dynamic Heat Stability 91.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
